Standard AC Motors

Standard AC motors are used generally as power sources for automated devices because these motors can be operated easily through connection to an AC power supply.

Oriental Motor offers standard AC motors incorporating various operating functions. A standard AC motor can be combined with a brake pack or speed control circuit product and also combined with mechanical component such as a gearhead or linear head. For this reason, various applications can be supported.

These products are ideal for uni-directional continuous applications such as driving a conveyor.

All you need is to connect a capacitor and plug the motor into an AC power supply, and the motor can be easily operated. (No capacitor is needed for a three-phase motor.)

World K Series ● Ideal for Bi-Directional Operation
Reversible motors have a 30 minutes rating✽ to permit instantaneous switching of rotation direction. A built-in friction brake at the back of the motor makes reversible motors an ideal choice for applications where the rotation direction changes.
✽ 30 Minutes Rating: The motors may be operated continuously for 30 minutes, but depending on operating status (intermittent operation etc.), they can be operated for 30 minutes or more.

SMK Series

Low-speed synchronous motors are continuous rated synchronous motors in which quick bi-directional rotation is possible. The basic construction of low-speed synchronous motors is the same as that of stepping motors. Since they can be easily driven by an AC power supply, they are sometimes called AC stepping motors.

TM Series

With the TM Series torque motor and power controller packages, you can adjust torque easily with a simple system configuration. These products are an optimal choice for winding applications, push functions and other situations where torque must be adjusted.

World K Series

These torque motors conform to safety standards. By providing an external voltage adjustment device, the speed and torque of the motor can be adjusted. TM Series torque motor and power controller packages which include a power controller by which torque can be easily adjusted are also available.

FPW Series

The FPW Series geared motor conforms to the IP67 rating under the IEC standards, which is recognized by UL. It is suitable for use in locations where equipment comes in contact with water or needs to be periodically washed with water. Models with outputs of 25 W, 40 W, 60 W, and 90 W are available, and these products confirm with the RoHS Directive.

GN-K Gearhead

Combination with a gearhead allows the motor to slow down to a required speed or generate higher torque.

Right-Angle Gearheads

Right-angle gearheads are flange-mounted gearheads that use worm gears and special helical gears. They allow motors to be installed at right angles to the axis of equipment such as belt conveyors. They are available as hollow shaft RH types and solid shaft RA types and are ideal for keeping equipment compact.

LH Linear Heads

Linear heads, just like a gearhead, enable generation of linear motion just through assembly on an AC motor. Linear heads that can be used with a wide variety of AC motors are also available with a wide variety of strokes. These products can be easily used for applications such as pushing, pulling, lifting, and lowering. Linear motion can be achieved easily as combination with various motors is possible.

Brake Pack SB50W

The brake pack provides instantaneous stop, bi-directional operation and electromagnetic brake control functions for motors integrated into one unit. This brake pack can sense when the thermal protector is opened, further ensuring the safety of your equipment. For greater convenience, a function has been added to reset alarms using an external signal.
